Loading a PGN replaces the current game and rebuilds the scoresheet.
Handy for setting up a specific study position or a tactic for a lesson, without playing through the moves that led there.
This board doesn't bundle Stockfish itself — upload stockfish-worker-shim.js, stockfish-18-lite-single.js, and the matching .wasm file to your site (same folder as this page, unless you set a different path above), then click Load engine. The shim works around hosts that serve .wasm with the wrong content type. This only works when the page is served over http/https — it won't run if you just double-click the file on your computer.
Works from any position — set one up in "Set up position" first if you want to start from a specific tactic or endgame, then start the game and turn this on.
The clock runs based on whose turn it is — including while the computer is "thinking" during Play vs computer. Increment, if set, is added the moment a side completes its move. Running out of time ends the game.
